Depending on your unique needs, I will use a variety of massage techniques to manipulate muscle and connective tissue which may include heat, facilitated stretching, acupressure or trigger point therapy. To balance energy systems in the body, I often incorporate Reiki as a regular part of my practice.
Coupling massage with heat and facilitated stretching enhances neurotransmission between the brain and the affected soft tissue. Applying heat during massage increases circulation thereby reducing inflammation creating a sense of comfort. Trigger point therapy and acupressure untangles adhesions and helps to strengthen affected areas of the body. When combining these therapies, clients experience a heightened sense of well-being, reduced pain, increased mobility and improved structural alignment. The addition of CBD oils and salves from AeroMed and Vermont Lavender further reduce inflammation and pain.
Stress reducing style massages are great for those who want to unwind and release tensions from a heavy workload or stressful event, illness or life situation. Those who need to release muscular knots or adhesions that cause pain and discomfort can opt for a sport or deep tissue massage with varying levels of pressure. Massage combined with heat and facilitated stretching will greatly increase circulation and structural alignment, reduce pain, and accelerate recovery from injury and illness.
